Mtg card: evolving wilds all prints and versions available

The number of prints & versions for a given Magic card has expanded like crazy in the last few years. As much as we love the game and Wizards of the Coast, they don’t make it easy for us!

  • By “print” I mean “reprints”, that is, cards that had previously appeared in a set, and that are also released in a newer set, with identical or different artwork. Ice Age (1995) was the first mtg set to contain reprints.

  • By “version”, I mean a card that is printed in a set, but with different variants: full art, borderless, various artworks, promo, etc.

As a magic player, usually you just want to buy the cheapest card, not caring too much about the print or version you have. However, sometimes you may have a strong preference for a certain print or version - for example, the only Vampiric Tutor I can play is the one from Visions; call me crazy, but it’s so cool! That and scarcity translate into different prices, even when the card does exactly the same.

What we’ve done is:

You can easily find all the listings for a certain card on the “all listings” page. So, for example, you can see all copies of Evolving Wilds available on Mage here, and quickly see the cheapest one, regardless of the print/version.

Furthermore, you can also see all the prints and versions of a given card; for example, all prints and versions of Evolving Wilds are here, regardless of the stock actually available for sale on the site.

We hope this update makes it easier for you to find your mtg singles!
